Should Vantage be started with COLD after an upgrade?

If Vantage is upgraded with an IPL, is it still required to start with START=COLD?

Resolution

An IPL does not necessarily mean that Vantage is COLD started. This paramater is related to warm startable objects. After an upgrade it is recommended to use START=COLD, with or without an IPL, as a precaution to prevent any compatibility issues, that might exist with checkpoint data sets for warm-starable objects that have been created with a previous release.
