Vantage Storage Resource Manager

Issue/Introduction

If Vantage is upgraded from Release 12.6 to Release 14.0 with an IPL, is it still required to start with START=COLD?

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : CA Vantage Storage Resource Manager

Resolution

An IPL does not necessarily mean that Vantage is COLD started. This paramater is related to warmtartable objects. After an upgrade we recommend START=COLD, with or without an IPL, as precaution to prevent any compatibilty issues, that might exist with checkpoint data sets for warmstarable objects, that have been created with a previous release.
