I am trying to issue a TSO, ACF, list like(SR-) command and I am getting message 'ACF02007 NOT AUTHORIZED FOR MASK KEY PROCESSING', what causes this error?

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to issue a TSO, ACF, list like(SR-) command and I am getting message 'ACF02007 NOT AUTHORIZED FOR MASK KEY PROCESSING', what causes this error?

Resolution

In order to do a TSO, ACF, LIST of another logonid or logonids the user issuing the command needs either the AUDIT or SECURITY privilege.

Without the AUDIT or SECURITY privilege the user issuing the LIST command will get either the ACF02014 or ACF02007 message:

If doing a LIST of a single logonid the following ACF02014 message will be issued:

ACF02014 NOT AUTHORIZED TO LIST THIS LOGONID RECORD

If doing a LIST of a multiple logonids using a LIKE(mask) the followng ACF02007 message will be issued:

ACF02007 NOT AUTHORIZED FOR MASK KEY PROCESSING

To address the ACF02014 or ACF02007 messages the user issuing the LIST command should be given the logonid AUDIT or SECURITY privilege.
