Error formatting event issue

Issue/Introduction

After reinstalling the Spectrum Connectors to point to new Service Operations Insight server, some of the alarms are showing 

Error formatting event 0x0000000 java.lang.NullPointerException for all alarms

 

 

Environment

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

The EvFormat/PCause files contains the information for the events to be properly displayed in the console. If the files are not in sync on all servers in the Spectrum environment, then the display message will be generated for the alarms. 

Resolution

The Pcause files from $SPECROOT/SG-Support/CsEvformat/ or $SPECROOT/custom/Events/CsPCause must be copied on all OneClick servers and Spectro Servers in the new environment. Once the files are copied, restart the services on the Oneclick and Spectro servers.
