CLARITY PPM FOR ITG CLARITY PPM FEDERAL Clarity PPM On Premise

Issue/Introduction

The servers I am building do not have the current and correct IP. Once the build is complete and verified functional, can I re-ip the servers,
change all the IP's in the appropriate locations (bind, system, database, application, etc..)
Or is it easier to do a re-installation with the correct IP's from the beginning?

Environment

Release : All supported Clarity releases

Resolution

For the IP connection Clarity uses the information in the properties.xml file (which is where the information from CSA gets saved).

1. So if you use direct IPs there then you will have to correct the information and then restart all services

2. If you use hostnames and just the IP behind changes then nothing will change from Clarity perspective just make sure the server is able to resolve the hostname to this IP

In both cases we would not recommend reinstalling as you should be able to easily change this.
