Resolution

Transparent Data Encryption is a new feature of database servers and is independent of the SDM application.

We do not test against all database server features against the SDM MDB. As long as this is transparent to the end users and the SDM application, it should be ok to implement Transparent Data Encryption.

Of course, we recommend testing in a non-PROD environment first.
