Issue/Introduction

Simptoms:

Multiple agents randomly go down a few times a day. Each agent is installed on separate AWS instance.

Errors in the agent log:

U02001021 Could not find job with RunID '123456789'. Cannot abort.

Fetched message 'EXSTAJ ' with ID 00000000 from queue. Remaining queue size: 0

PWP log:

1.U00011022 Client '0100': The status of 'JOBS.WIN.XYZ' ('123456789') is undefined because host 'WIN01' aborted prematurely or was canceled.

2.U00011860 Deleting Agent entry 'WIN01' with index '0000000011'.

3.U00011182 Client '0100', RunID '234567890'. Message 'EXAKTJ' for Agent 'WIN01' was acknowledged with error code 62 (Loscon). JOB_INF will be sent.

4.U00011175 Negative JOB_INF was sent from Agent 'WIN'. Job name 'JOBS.WIN.XYZ' (RunID '234567890'), old job status 'Start initiated', new job status 'Unknown'

Resolution

If you experience symptoms noted above, reproduce the issue with trace ip=9, jcl=9 and provide the agent log and agent trace to Support once you create a ticket.

NOTE: in some cases, upgrading the agents to version 12.2.2 fixed the issue.
