Issue/Introduction

The client would like to populate the User Comments field in View (Sysout Selection List), and to lock it to prevent the field from being changed.

Resolution

The changing of the "User Comments" field is controlled by the View Security resource JOB, whereas UPDATE access is needed to change the user comments.

A security rule would be constructed using: secid.USER....

It is also possible to change the panel on which the User Comments appears, so that the field can only be displayed and not edited in any way.
