Top Secret Changing to Require mixed-case passwords

Issue/Introduction

Planning to convert to enforcing mixed-case passwords.   What will happen on Day One when a user tries to log on to an application?

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

When an acid logs on and the password is not being changed then the password supplied is compared to the current password held on the secfile and the NEWPW options are not checked. When an acid logs on and is changing the password then the NEWPW options are checked and the new password must adhere to the rules.

Passwords that existed before setting NEWPW(MC) will remain upper case.
