CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM)

Issue/Introduction

When logging in to PAM as a PAM administrator, in the "Appliance Status" item, there is a notation of external storage capacity for session recording.

The Network Share capacity is shown in % notation.

I am trying to find out what this percentage is based on?

Environment

Release : 3.3 and prior versions

Component : PRIVILEGED ACCESS MANAGEMENT

Cause

The Network Share refers specifically to a share for Network Recordings.

Resolution

A recording share is the available storage space inside the recording share folder, as well as the available space on the whole disk drive where the folder resides.

The amount of data inside the folder, versus the total amount of space not used on the hard disk is the percentage you see.

If another CAPAM node is contributing recordings to that share space, then the percentage would change accordingly as new recordings are added.

If the space on the hard drive is also being used by any other applications or users, the space would also change accordingly.
