Clarity PPM: How Does Sorting Work?

Issue/Introduction

When displaying the list of Clarity projects which have a mixed number and letter convention, the sorting appears random.

 

Cause

Sorting is based on the standard ASCII table chart.

Based on the following sample ASCII chart and using project codes: PRJ_LXXXX and PRJ_10000, here is how sorting will work

a. When sorted in ascending order,
PRJ_10000 would show up before
PRJ_LXXXX

b. When sorted in descending order,

PRJ_LXXXX would show up before
