ServieNow Connector Keeps Restarting

CA Service Operations Insight (SOI)

Issue/Introduction

Connector keeps restarting on its own, over and over. It stops recording log data. All SOI services was restarted but problem persist.

 

 

 

 

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : Service Operations Insight (SOI) Manager

servicenow-connector-installer-4.6.0.48

Resolution

- Client had debug turned on, turned them off in the following location


 CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\container\etc\log4j-ei.properties and set the debug level to INFO and WARN as you see here

  • log4j.logger.com.ca.catalyst.intercepter.ei=INFO, eiinterceptor
  • log4j.logger.com.ca.connector.impl.util.ei=INFO, eiinterceptor
  • log4j.logger.com.ca.eventplus.catalog=WARN, Transformer
  • log4j.logger.com.ca.eventplus.catalog.test=WARN, Transformer

- Also modified the "monitoreditems" property value to just "Router" since that is what client wants to import in to SOI. The modification was done in   CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\registry\topology\physical\<Hostname>_CatalystConnector\modules\configuration\ServiceNowConnector.conf and ServiceNowConnector.xml file both.


- Deleted all files from

  • CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\container\registry-cache
  • CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\container\CatalystDatastore
  • CA\Catalyst\CatalystConnector\container\nls-store
- Restarted Catalyst Container service.
