DBG55044W Access refused by Security Exit

Issue/Introduction

Trying to start a hierarchical Application probe(pauses when full), the following message was displayed: DBG55044W Access refused by Security Exit. How to modify the security exit routine? How to resolve this problem?

 

 

Environment

Release : 20.0

Component :Sysview Performance Management Option for DB for z/OS

Resolution

To resolve this problem follow these steps:

1-Go to the sysparm in the datacollector 

2-Do a find on PROFILE(APPLS) to find the following sysparm card START-WILDCARD=NO,

3-Change START-WILDCARD=NO to START-WILDCARD=YES.

4-If option doesn't work, then use START-WILDCARD=ALL

The START-WILDCARD parm is actually located in your HIGHLEVEL.SECURITY file. To find the  security file, follow these steps:

1-Go to the Datacollector started task job output.

2-Do a find  on security.

If the security file is updated,  the datacollector will need to be recycled to refresh the security file.
