When upgrading to z/OS 2.n, the following Top Secret error occurs at IPL time:
*TSS9112E UNABLE TO DETERMINE JES LEVEL
The Top Secret r16 fixes for z/OS 2.n compatibility are applied. (See the Compatibility Matrix for the list of Top Secret compatibility maintenance for each z/OS level.)

When starting Top Secret before JES, in the JES control option, the TYPE and LEVEL should be specified in the Top Secret parameter file. For example:
JES(SSID=ssss,TYPE=JES2,LEVEL=z/OS 2.n)
Where ‘ssss’ is the JES subsystem name. (The default SSID is JES2.)
Note the space between the S and the 2 in the LEVEL=.
