UIM / DX IM netapp probe configure crashes

Issue/Introduction

The netapp probe configure GUI will open, load the default details, and then there will be a popup window with:

netapp has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. 

Environment

Release: DX UIM 20.4

 

Component: netapp 1.40

Cause

nimbus.dll has new security features introduced in DX UIM 20.4 which prevents the netap configure GUI from working. 

Resolution

The only option is to install the IM console (NimBUS Manager.exe) at a system without a hub or robot, such as your laptop. 

Additional Information

When the IM console (NimBUS Manager.exe) is installed at a system without a hub or robot, such as your laptop an older version of nimbus.dll is installed. Using this older version of nimbus.dll on a 20.4 system will prevent proper hub to robot communication. 

 

20.4 nimbus.dll is 2,230,272 bytes in size.

Prior versions of nimbus.dll is 1,110,016 bytes in size.
