Release : 14.2 and 14.3 prior to cp3

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

rngd process consuming high CPU

1. RNGD service is disabled in Vapp 14.2 and 14.3 latest cumulative patches.

2. The Random Number Generator (RNGD) service used for setting up the entropy on the Virtual Appliance.

3. It has been observed that the RNGD service consumes excessive CPU thus impacting the other services on the Virtual Appliance.

4. The RNGD service is now disabled and services like JCS are modified to run without the help of RNGD, using /dev/urandom.
