How to hide the DeviceType (0x23000e) attribute value of Cisco ASA device in Topology view.

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Spectrum releases

Resolution

On the OneClick web server machine, follow these steps: 

  1. Copy the $SPECROOT/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/WEB-INF/topo/config/oneclick-ciscoasa-iconbase-config.xml file to the $SPECROOT/custom/topo/config/ directory.
  2. Edit the $SPECROOT/custom/topo/config/oneclick-ciscoasa-iconbase-config.xml file and comment out the following line:
    • <!-- <column idref="column-devicetype-config"/> -->
  3. Save the file.
  4. Launch the OneClick Console.
  5. The DeviceType Name is no longer visible in Topology view for the Cisco ASA devices.
