CA-VIEW/DELIVER - R14.0 Update ChicagoSoft/QuickRef Database, for Support of Production

Issue/Introduction

In their use of ChicagoSoft QuickRef 8.2, the client does not see messages for CA View/Deliver 14.0 or 12.2.

They issue the QW command against the standard RMOCPP06 and SARDBI23 messages, and receive this response:

* MVS/QuickRef 8.2 - Request Reference Information *

Vendor ==> *                     (Vendor to be searched)                
Product ==> *                    (Product to be searched)               
Release ==> *                    (Release of product to be searched)    
Item ==> RMOCPP06                (Message ID, abend code, command, etc.)

QWIKM008 - No information was found matching your request

Resolution

Per the following QuickRef 8.2 Release info, CA View and CA Deliver are not among the products listed:

Per the following QuickRef 8.3 Release info, there are messages for View 12.2 and 14.0, as well as Deliver 12.2 and 14.0:

Note: The products that are in the list (from the links above) show receipt of the messages, from the vendors.

Suggestions:

. Consider upgrading QuickRef to 8.3, to solve this.
. Instead, use Broadcom's TechDocs.Broadcom.com site for the most recent messages documentation pages.
The message pages will always be more recent than the once-per-year update QuickRef provides using the annually sent materials.
