CATP020I Security Exception - Dataset Not Available to USER

Issue/Introduction

when a tape on VMF has never used the following message: CATP020I SECURITY EXCEPTION - DATASET NOT AVAILABLE TO USER is received.

Component : CA TLMS Tape Management

Cause

This is caused because RACF/ TSS  will not allow you access to a blank data set name and INQACC=YES. This is a security error because the TLMSIPO parameter INQACC=YES is set.

Resolution

As a solution, it can either set the TLMSIPO parameter to INQACC=NO or update the TLMSUTAB giving the  ACCESS=UPDATE for the user or update the DSN by CATINQR
