Issue/Introduction

What would be the consequences, for a View database, if a SARDBASE REORG ASYNCH job was prematurely cancelled due to an IPL or some other incident? 

Could this cause the View database to become corrupted?

Resolution

The View SARDBASE REORG ASYNCH function operates such that a sudden stop in functioning will not corrupt the database.

Following an IPL (or whatever event occurred), a subsequently started run of SARDBASE REORG ASYNCH will continue where the previous REORG ASYNCH run left off, with no impact to the View database.
