Issue/Introduction

Currently working on applying usermod UM99901 for ACF2.


The APPLY job shows the following error

ASSEMBLER PROCESSING FAILED FOR MODULE ACFFDR IN THE CAX1SRC0 LIBRARY. THE 

RETURN CODE WAS 08.

1. THE ASSEMBLER TEXT WAS IN ERROR.                                        

2. THE WRONG LEVEL OF MACROS WAS BEING USED.                               

3. THE WRONG SET OF MACLIBS WAS BEING USED.

Component : CA ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

UM99901 was being used to update USERXLID, and USERXLID was also updated directly.  UM99901 will use IBM utility IEBUPDTE to  update members.  One method or the other should be used, not both.  Either put all user updates into UM99901, the preferred method, or update the members.  Note that if a member is supplied by ACF2, then any changes directly to the member may be wiped out by ACF2 maintenance.  That is why updating UM99901 is the preferred method as ACF2 will not change that with maintenance.
