Receiving an authorization error trying to cancel a CICS thread that is in Identify status via Sysview for Db2

Issue/Introduction

Sysview Performance Management Option for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) with the necessary plan and Db2 authority to cancel threads except for those CICS
threads in Identify status. Why able to cancel other threads in IDB2 except for those CICS threads with a status of Identify?

Resolution

An Identify thread basically means that a thread is allocated to Db2, but holds virtually no resources (no locks, etc.), and usually does not have a plan
allocated and has a token value of zero.  This is normally for threads that are in the initial state.  In the case of the CICS threads, they are reusable threads
waiting for a request for Db2 work.  An Identify thread cannot be subject to a Db2 Cancel thread command.
