XCOM Data Transport XCOM Data Transport - z/OS XCOM - SUPPORT

Issue/Introduction

I have the following procedure successfully working on 18 LPAR's; failing on three.  The process is:

Delete and re-create a backup history file; then repro the production file in

REPRO XCOMHIST data set to work file

Run XCOMUTIL against work file to purge records 4 days or older (maybe this s/b 7 days ?)

Delete XCOM History files, which also deletes all its AIX files

Define XCOMHIST file

REPRO work file to newly created XCOMHIST

DEFINE/BUILD AIX and PATH data sets for XCOMHIST

Start the XCOM SERVER ADDRESS SPACE

On the LPAR's that fail, I am getting this message:  IDC1644I ALTERNATE INDEX KEY NOT IN BASE RECORD 00000000000000000000

All LPAR's use same IDCAMS for XCOMSYST (see uploaded file).  So not sure why only three LPAR's have issues with the

'Alternate INDEX KEY IN BASE RECORD'.  Is there something I need to do to create XCOMSYST a different way ?

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA XCOM Data Transport for z/OS

Cause

The cause to the message was that the KEY for all of their DEF AIX were incorrect in the JCL with the exception of the one for XCOMSYST. Leading us to determine that the version of XCOMUTIL being used was incorrect.

Resolution

The DEF AIX statement in their XCOMUTIL job are incorrect. Make sure to use the XCOMUTIL sample JCL provided for XCOM r12.0. That will correct the problem.
