CA Gen 8.6 Toolset error "LA INTERNAL ERROR: Invalid parameters." after generating a COM proxy

Issue/Introduction

After generating a COM proxy in the CA Gen 8.6 Toolset the user encountered error "LA INTERNAL ERROR: Invalid parameters." The error did not impact the generation success and the Build Tool was launched for a successful Proxy build.

Resolution

1. The latest Gen 8.6 Complete roll-up PTF WKS86002 was installed and user with the problem is using a local model from the same checkout.trn as another working user.

2. Support suggested to stop the Gen toolset and delete the ief6900.dat file in directory "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CA\Gen 8.6\cfg\Toolset" e.g. "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\CA\Gen 8.6\cfg\Toolset".

The user eventually resolved the problem after trying various options and the actual root cause was not found.
