Issue/Introduction

We cannot change the user identifier on the form for the password reset. It only allows us to use IDM GLOBAL USERNAME. 

We would like to use Email Address instead on the form so that it is easier for the users.

 
 

Environment

Release : 14.1

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Resolution

You can change the underlying Identity Manager Forgotten Password task to use email for the Identity search, and it should work in your IP version.


1. Within the Identity Manager task's search screen, you modify the Forgotten Password Identify profile screen to use email.

2. Then in Identity portal use Localization to edit the label that appears by the field.
