z/VM 7.1

Resolution

Customer lacking required service for z/VM 7.1, VM:Spool and the Directory Reader Diagnose.

The UPGRAD for VM:Spool shows r1.8 + PTF RO59003 required for z/VM 7.1 support.

Plus, you need a new Directory Reader Diagnose/VMNDLK for z/VM 7.1, available in PTF SO05231 for the VM Product Manager.

Advised customer to install the required VM:Spool PTFs,  RS1510 ( RO85598) plus SO09847 on top and VM:Spool should run properly 

on their z/VM 7.1 system with or without RSU 1902 installed.
** PTF SO09847 is needed after applying IBM APAR VM66263 (PTF UM35475) that installs the EAV Paging enhancement.
