XCOM Data Transport XCOM Data Transport - Linux PC

Issue/Introduction

I am reading the information for Red hat on the Distributed Platform Compatibilities page:

RI59036  says:

Red Hat 7 x64: CA XCOM Data Transport for Linux PC r11.6 SP01 64-bit GA,

r11.6 SP00 64-bit + RO73091 (see PEAs RI75588 and RI75589)

Can you tell me what PEAs RI75588 and RI75589 are about?

Does this mean that XCOM r11.6 SP00 64-bit + RO73091 is equivalent to XCOM r11.6 16083 SP01 64-bit and contains the TLSV1.2 support?

Environment

  • Red Hat
  • XCOMâ„¢ Data Transport® for Linux PC

Resolution

No. 11.6 SP00 64-bit + RO73091 is NOT equivalent to r11.6 16083 SP01 64-bit. RO73091only addresses the OPENSSL vulnerability.

PEAs RI75588 and RI75589 are for:

RI75588 XINETD CAN NOT BE RESTARTED WARNING ON RED HAT 7 (informational)
RI75589 NON-FATAL ERROR WHILE INSTALLING XCOM ON REDHAT 7 (informational)

XCOM for Linux 11.6 16083 SP01 64-bit and higher and gives you the TLSv1.2 support as well as version 12.0.
