NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP

Issue/Introduction

Is there any way to use symbolic variables in the zFS path name?

For example, is it possible to change the path definition from:

/u/LPAR1/Netmaster/v122

to something like:

/u/&lparID/Netmaster/&version

?

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP

Resolution

If the variables are 'system symbolics' then yes, they can be used in the INIFILE.

If the variables  are 'user created' ones then NO, they can't be passed from RUNSYSIN to the INIFILE.

One could define them in the INIFILE and then use them in the path name BUT they can't be passed from the RUNSYSIN to the INIFILE:

.ZFS

   &£IAP£W3ZFS1  = &STR /u/&lparID/Netmaster/&version

   &£IAP£W3ZFS2  = &STR

   &£IAP£W3ZFS3  = &STR
