Rally: Importing defects into Rally does not import to a specified project (Excel).

Issue/Introduction

We are getting ready to import our defects from another tool into Rally, but the project information doesn't seem to be importing correctly.  Is there a way to import defects into different projects?

Cause

The import in the Rally User Interface doesn't allow the user to specify a project.  It only imports artifacts to the project they currently have selected on their screen.

Resolution

The Excel 2016 plugin can be used to import artifacts to specific projects. You can find the details and installation instructions here:
