Resolution

RAIDSUPP and HWOBJINC parameters are not only for Hitachi, but also for other vendors.

The reason that RAIDSUPP(Y) and HWOBJINC(Y) is needed:
When adding spares volumes from OBJ02340 object, there are two extra values used compared to adding spares from POOLS object: Desired SSID and Replication Groups.
In order to get the Desired SSID, RAIDSUPP(Y) and HWOBJINC(Y) has to be enabled. This information can be gathered only via RAID objects. In fact, object VOLUMES combines data from LSPACEPO object and RAIDLVOL object. RAIDLVOL object will not be available without RAIDSUPP(Y) and HWOBJINC(Y).

Regarding the two aditional objects OBJ02238 and OBJ02239 which are only optional, they can be found also in RAID Devices object tree, under Hitachi Arrays/TrueCopy Configuration. Since these are optional, let's not pay too much attention to them in MSGE.

The Desired SSID and Replication Groups acts as additional selection criteria for choosing a spare to be added to SMS storage group, when adding spares volumes from OBJ02340.
