How to address issues with the CA 11 Database STP area filling up?
Release:11.0
Component:11.0
Running the MANT task will lower the number of records in the DSN and STP areas and keep it from filling up . The DSN and STP area are part of the CMT. The MAINTAGE value in the config file will determine what will be deleted from the CMT. The MANT task cleans up the 601 database and will run automatically if MAINTTME is set to a non zero value. It will purge old data from CMT based on the MAINTAGE parm in the config. It will purge old data from the JEHF based on Maxday and Mincnt options. In order for information to be purged from the CMT MAINTAGE must not be set to zero.
If you do have MAINTTME set to a non zero value, you can do a manual run of the MANT task by issuing the following DBAS command:
COMCHAR START MANT
See Configuration File and Options Settings
To help with reallocating the STP file, You can use the CA 11 SAMPJCL member AL7AD2 to allocate the files.
