How to find the SNMPV3 engine id of the SpectroSERVER

Issue/Introduction

What I am looking for is the remote engine id (in the hex format) of spectrum servers. This is required for ISE servers configuration to be able to send traps to Spectrum as SNMPv3.

 

Environment

Release : 10.2

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

Some devices require the SNMPV3 engine id of the SpectroSERVER to be able to send the SMPV3 traps to Spectrum. 

Resolution

The SNMPV3 engine id of the SpectroSERVER can be found in the in $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file in the following parameter:

snmpv3_engine_id.

The value in this parameter is the SNMPV3 engine id of the SpectroSERVER.
