Unable to connect to the DB2 - SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "15" ("PROCESSING FAILURE"). SQLSTATE=08001

Issue/Introduction

When trying to connect to the DB2 we are getting the following error:

     Cannot connect using supplied values.

     Connection:
     Profile: ProfileName
     odbc: -30082
     SQLSTATE = 08001
     [IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N  Security processing failed with reason "15" ("PROCESSING FAILURE").  SQLSTATE=08001

Environment

All supported TDM releases.

Cause

N/A

Resolution

Usually this is not an issue with Test Data Manager but with the configuration used to connect to the database.

If you are using LDAP make sure the information provided is correct.

. make sure your user id used to connect to the database is following the naming rules for DB2:

User, user ID and group naming rules

. check the permissions on the following files in the instance ~/sqllib/security/ directory
