Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to monitor the Datacom databases related to space and alerting on this with Sysview?

Resolution

 SYSVIEW does display various Datacom stats but does not provide any active monitoring or threshold/alerting of the data. 

However, SYSVIEW has a Rexx API that could be used to obtain the data of interest (looking at numbers on the DCDSETS display).
This API could be used in a Rexx initiated via CA OPS/MVS, or any other automation tool, or could be accessed from an IMOD in CA GSS (via ADDRESS SYSVIEWE).
The REXX exec could then examine the data and provide some type of alert (WTO, email, etc. based on what is available from that environment).
