Retention of the file backup is not correct

Issue/Introduction

When a file is backed up with RETPD=nnn, the expdt of the file is 1999.365 and not the today+nnn, in spite of SMSMCBYP AND SMSSGBYP set to Y.

Resolution

Userid is not a Storage Administrator id, so SMS can't bypassed.

The profile name is used by Disk to determine if a user is a storage administrator. Disk considers all users who have read authority to the profile name specified by this sysparm to be storage administrators.

If the profile does not exist, or the facility class is not active, the user will be considered a storage administrator. Disk uses an IBM SAF call to make this determination.

Setting DIAGAUTH to Y will show what is needed for and the return codes.
