Using a saved rule for all reports of the same format with OM Web Viewer 12.1?

Issue/Introduction

Rule Management in OM Web Viewer lets you save export rules for later use and save time. The export functionality is available only for mainframe text reports.

I created an export rule for a report. There are other reports with different names that follow the same format.  However when I try to load this rule with these other reports, the name of the rule is not available in the Chose Rule box.

Can a saved rule be used for all reports of the same format with Output Management Web Viewer 12.1?

Resolution

Rules are limited to a single report. You can load a rule for different instances of the same report - if it is the same report with a different time stamp. 

This information is available in the Online Help. To access Help, select it in the upper right and search for rules and scroll down to Rule Management Buttons.

• Rules are limited to a single report. A rule for one report cannot be used for a different report. 
• Rules can either be a rule you saved for this report or public type rule someone else saved for this report. 
• Rules are saved, previously, specific to the selected report.
