Starting ACF2 for first time gets messages IEF453I and IEE132I

Issue/Introduction

getting the following error when starting ACF2 for the first time.

- 16.43.56           S ACF2,PARM='NOBACKUP,SYSID(sys)'                     

  16.43.56           IEF677I WARNING MESSAGE(S) FOR JOB ACF2     ISSUED    

- 16.43.56           IEF403I ACF2 - STARTED - TIME=16.43.56                

- 16.43.57           IEF453I ACF2 - JOB FAILED - JCL ERROR - TIME=16.43.57 

  16.43.57           IEE132I START COMMAND DEVICE ALLOCATION ERROR         

 

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA ACF2 for z/OS

Resolution

The ACF2 procedure is supplied as follows..

//IEFPROC  EXEC PGM=ACFMAIN,TIME=1440,REGION=1024K    

//SYSUDUMP DD   DDNAME=IEFRDER                        

//SYSUT1   DD   UNIT=SYSDA,SPACE=(CYL,(5,5))          

//*                                                   

This site did not have UNIT=SYSDA defined.

They changed JCL to use UNIT=3390 and the procedure started suucessfully
