CA Workload Automation AE - Scheduler (AutoSys) Autosys Workload Automation

Issue/Introduction

What manual shows you how to define a user to a Windows Server so they can access the Autosys Adminstrator?

What is minimum Security Level a user needs to use this GUI ?

Can this be accomplished without providing ADMIN rights to the user?

Environment

Release : 11.3.6

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

The AutoSys Administrator writes to and deletes from the Windows registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. This requires admin rights.

Now, a non-admin user CAN run it. However if they make any changes in the Administrator console, they will not be saved to the registry unless they are a local admin user.

From the Workload Automation AE product documentation:

Notes:

  • You must have Windows Administrators group privileges to view or modify the configuration parameters of a CA Workload Automation AE instance using the Administrator utility.
