Issue/Introduction

Having trouble restoring a VSAM KSDS that was originally allocated on an SMS managed volume, to a different Storage class.

2519 FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON:

Resolution

If  the data set should be RESTORED with a new storage classe , the STORCLAS parameter of the RESTORE command should be used to provide a Storage Class  name which is defined to SMS. This is only valid with SMSALLOC set to Y.
