Spectrum Archive Manager not starting after an online backup

Issue/Introduction

Spectrum Archive Manager not starting after an online backup where the post_olb_script file has been modified to backup the Archive Manager.

The following is seen in the ddm_backup.log file:

exporting event schema and ddmdb tables
exporting the event data by partition wise, total partition count :46
error in saving partition 31
error in saving partition 23
error in saving partition 22
error in saving partition 28
error in saving partition 40
error in saving partition 41
error in saving partition 42
error in saving partition 39
error in saving partition 45
error in saving partition 44
    Database backup was unsuccessful.
    Not restarting Archive Manager.

ddm_backup failure.

Environment

Release : Any version of Spectrum

Component : Spectrum Core / Archive Manager

Cause

The DDM database backup file is configured to save the file to an NFS mounted partition on Linux.

Resolution

Save the DDM database backup file to a local partition and then copy or move it to the NFS mounted partition.
