Failed to add ConnectorServer in clustered CAIM (VApp)

Issue/Introduction

Failed to add the Remote Connector Server from the External Tools screen when the primary node is down in the clustered configuration.

<Messages displayed in External Tools screen>
 -------------------------------
 Error fetching list of registered connector servers: Error-cannot connect to <IP address> to copy the password file.
 Error message: ssh: connect to host <IP address> port 22: Connection refused lost connection
 -------------------------------
What is the cause of the error?
Also, how can I add Connector Server when Node#1 is down?

Environment

Release : 14.3

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

When the primary node is down, it is possible to add Connector Server from Connector Xpress.

1. Add a vApp server in Provisioning Servers > Add Server in the right pane
2. Expand the added one and add Connector Server from CS Configs> New CS Config under the domain name
