We can no longer load the webapp through an F5 load balancer, after upgrading to 10.4.
It worked with this setup on 10.3.1 and loads as normal on 10.4 when we do not use the load balancer.
Release : 10.4
Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER
Spectrum_10.04.00.PTF_10.4.002 applied and java cache cleared but the problem persisted until steps from the WebSwing team were applied.
The webSwing team who gave the following advice.
Because Webwing is a stateful application server, to properly set up load balancing, you need to use sticky sessions.
Sticky sessions will ensure a particular user will always be redirected to same webswing server, where his session is running.
Another common issue is an invalid configuration of the load balancer, that will not allow websocket http connection upgrade, which in fact amplifies the missing sticky session issue.
Please contact support for the above patch, if you use the webApp on 10.4.
SPECTRUM 10.04.00 are the prerequisites for installation of this patch.
This patch needs to be installed on OneClick Server.
This is a PTF patch for the following issue:
Symptom : Spectrum-10.4 oneclick.jnlp href generation changed. It is creating url href with static FQDN of the webserver.
Resolution: OneClick.jnlp href generation will use the Hostname from request(Host Header) instead of static FQDN of webserver.
