Changing Encryption Key after upgrading?

Issue/Introduction

Do sites typically change their encryption  key after upgrading to a new release?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

Most sites keep the same encryption key when they go to the new release. 

 

If they wish to change it, run a TSSXTEND with:

 

NEWKEY=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 

OLDKEY=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 

 

xxxxxxxxxxx is 16 hex characters 0 – F.
