Issue/Introduction

I am getting an ACF2 violation ACF99913 ACF2 VIOLATION-08,05 along with IBM DFSMS IOEZ00336I message but the job completes with RC 0, what causes these messages?

Environment

Release:
Component: ACF2MS

Resolution

The attaching, or formatting of a zFS aggregate is successful but the ALLOCATE access to the catalog fails which causes the IBM DFSMS IOEZ00336I message. This failure itself does not prevent the aggregate from being attached or formatted correctly hence the RC=0.

The violation for the catalog causes the aggregate to not be marked as a zFS aggregate in the catalog.

To address the messages a ACF2 dataset access rule can be written or the logonid can be given the NON-CNCL privilege. Once the catalog ALLOCATE access is allowed the IBM DFSMS IOEZ00336I message will not occur and the aggregate will be marked as a zFS aggregate in the catalog.
