ACF2 for z/VM requirements when applying IBM z/VM RSU service?

Issue/Introduction

When applying IBM z/VM RSU service what additional steps and in what order are required for ACF2 for z/VM? 

 

Environment

ACF2 for z/VM Release : 12.0 1611.SP5

Component : CA ACF2 for z/VM

Resolution

When applying IBM RSU service the steps are as follows:

1. VMFBLD
2. SERVICE
3. VMFSETUP
4. CAXABLD
5. Copy/move the newly generated CP nucleus MODULE file nucleus on the MAINT move to its normal IPL location
6. Test changes
7. PUT2PROD

Note: Be sure to specify the PRIVATE on the CAXABLD command when you generate CP or CMS using the ACF2 $PPF file, for example:
