Issue/Introduction

Trying to launch and  login to DevTest Portal on local machine and it is throwing error 'Portal error, can not authenticate user. Please make sure the Portal service is running.'. Portal service and Registry are already up and running on the local machine. 

Seeing errors "com.itko.lisa.test.Environment - Failed to initialize hot deploy ClassLoader java.util.NoSuchElementException" when starting the Registry.



Environment

All supported DevTest releases.

Resolution

To resolve the error when starting the Registry, please do the following:

- Stop the DevTest Services: VSE, Simulator, Coordinator, Portal and Registry.

- Remove the old registry.log - Rename the 'hotDeploy' folder to 'hotDeploy.old

- Start the Registry Service and check the new registry.log and confirm that the error is no longer occurring.
