Issue/Introduction

The Spectrum install failed on Linux with the following error in the post installation log:

 

Could not open CAPKI shared library, errno is 0, errmsg is /opt/CA/SharedComponents/CAPKI/CAPKI5/Linux/amd64/64/lib/libcapki.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This error may also be seen after installation is complete. 

Environment

Release : Any release of Spectrum installed on Linux

Component : Spectrum Core / SpectroSERVER

Cause

SELinux enabled

Resolution

Disable SELinux by editing the /etc/sysconfig/selinux file and adding the following: highlighted entry:


# This file controls the state of SELinux on the system.

# SELINUX= can take one of these three values:

#     enforcing - SELinux security policy is enforced.

#     permissive - SELinux prints warnings instead of enforcing.

#     disabled - No SELinux policy is loaded.

SELINUX=disabled

# SELINUXTYPE= can take one of three values:

#     targeted - Targeted processes are protected,

#     minimum - Modification of targeted policy. Only selected processes are protected.

#     mls - Multi Level Security protection.

SELINUXTYPE=targeted


Then reboot the system and rerun the installation.
