Occasionally we will need to enable EEM server's TRACE logging to diagnose how EEM processes the authentication and authorization requests from catalog. here are the steps to enable EEM server TRACE logging level.

You can put EEM in trace logging level by editing %EIAM_HOME%\config\logger\server.xml file
Edit the entries to trace:

<level value="trace"/>
<appender-ref ref="ipoz" />
</logger>
<logger name="eiam.server" additivity="false">
<level value="trace"/>
<appender-ref ref="server" />
</logger>
<logger name="eiam.server.performance" additivity="false">
<level value="trace"/>
<appender-ref ref="performance" />
</logger>
Note :
1) EEM log files are located at %EIAM_HOME%\logs\ folder
2) logging level change takes place dynamically , there is no need to recycle any service for the change
