Issue/Introduction

The CA UCM Collector service terminated unexpectedly and will not start.  This was noticed after applying the 4.3.3 update.

Environment

Release : 4.3.3.3

Component : NQUCM - UNIFIED COMMUICATION MONITOR

Cause

vcredist_x64 and nqpktcap41 files were missing from the installation.  These missing files prevented the services from properly starting.

Resolution

Putting the nqpktcap41.sys (Attached below) in "C:\Windows\System32\drivers" allow the nqpktcap41 service start.  You can use the following commandline commands to check and start the service after copying the file to the above location:

sc.exe query nqpktcap41

sc.exe start nqpktcap41

To install the vcredist_x64 file, download and run the following:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15336

Once the nqpktcap41 service has started and the vcredist_x64 file installed, the CA UCM Collector service can be started.
