Issue/Introduction

On z/OS v2r4 MICS jobs may terminate with non-zero return codes.

This includes JCLGENx, Production Reporting job streams, DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY. This can occur in any job that invokes SAS under ISPF.

Symptoms include steps failing with a non-zero return code (e.g. 866, 0816), messages indicating an ISPF ABEND S136.  In addition, the following

error has been observed while executing Production Reporting Job streams.

Abend 13E000 hex occurred processing command 'SASCP '

Although the job is abending in z/OS 2.4 , the graphs, charts and CSV files are being successfully created.

Environment

Release : 14.2

Component : MICS

Resolution

IBM has created APAR OA58617 to address this issue. If the APAR provides a fix, it should be applied.

If there is no PTF associated with OA58617, then the hot fix referenced by SAS support note 65015 needs to be applied to the SAS system used by MICS.
