Issue/Introduction

The client installed CA View/Deliver 14.0, and Deliver appears on their TADZ (Assets) report.

How can they "deactivate" Deliver?

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : CA Deliver

Resolution

As CA View/Deliver/EBC/DRAS 14.0 were packaged together, as they still have their separate sysmods, CA View/EBC/DRAS can be installed only, ignoring the Deliver sysmod.

If there is a utility, such as TADZ, which notes Deliver as existing, and if it is wished to not be there, performing an uninstall of just Deliver should remedy that.

If there has been use of CA Deliver, and it had been processed to its own library; if it is in the same library with View, the recommendations are:

. Allocate another load library, which would be identified for Deliver.

. Copy the full View load library to the Deliver load library.

. Delete everything EXCEPT the RMO... modules, which identify Deliver.

. In the View load library, delete the RMO modules.

CA Deliver is a report processing and distribution product.

Some of its functions are directly tied to CA View.

Deliver is installed in the same manner as View.

Deliver has a database, of its definitions, created in the same manner as View.

Panels are loaded to Deliver, for navigation purposes, in the same manner as View.

Deliver is accessed the same as View (CLIST/ISPF, CICS, VTAM, etc.), using one of those interfaces.
